Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T.)
Physiotherapy represents a branch of modern medical science which includes examination, assessment, interpretation, physical diagnosis, planning and execution of treatment and advice to any person for the purpose of preventing, correcting, alleviating and limiting dysfunction, acute and chronic bodily malfunction, including life saving measures via chest physiotherapy in the intensive care units, curing physical disorders or disability, promoting physical fitness, facilitating healing and pain relief and treatment of physical and psychosomatic disorder though modulating physiological and physical response using exercises, physical agents, activities and devices including mobilization, manipulations, mechanical, electrical and thermal agents including therapeutic ultrasound and therapeutic LASER and electrotherapy including electrophysiology for diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
Program Outcomes
At the end of the program, graduates must be able to Do independent physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patient.
Work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and treat movement dysfunctions as per red and yellow flags.
Develop skills for physical & functional diagnosis, treatment planning, management, and administration of physiotherapy treatment for patient support.
Find employment opportunities in Hospitals/Nursing homes/Sports Teams/Fitness Centers /Community Rehabilitation centers/Health planning boards/Health promotions services/Special Schools/Education Institutes/Industrial Sectors in both private and public sectors as well as in independent physiotherapy clinics.
Shall be able to pursue further qualifications to attain a senior position in the professional field and to keep abreast with the recent advances and new technology.
Ability to communicate effectively and flexibly in a manner that is appropriate for the patients and other healthcare professionals.
Acquaint with the basics of research and involved in the research process.
Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the Physiotherapy practice as provided by national and state councils.

Eligibility Criteria
Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination recognized by any Indian University or a duly constituted Board and passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

Dept. of Musculo-skeletal & Sports Physiotherapy
A department of musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy diagnoses, manages, and treats injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. They also provide rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery.
Dept. of Neuro physio therapy includes both Pediatrics and adults
Paediatric physiotherapists Work with children who experience some disruption in their development and their families.The department actively pursues clinical care and research activities in the sub-specialties of Movement Disorders, Neuro-infections, Stroke and Epilepsy etc.
Dept. of Cardio-respiratory Physiotherapy
Cardiothoracic physiotherapy is used to help patients with conditions of the heart, lungs and other organs in the chest, to manage or resolve their conditions.
